Dear Miss Chandler, My book is to be published on Saturday- day after tomorrow. Now shall I find your copy in the publishers'binding or in sheets so that you may have it bound to match'The Tabletsâ? In either choice, I will send you the Illustrated Title Page [page break] when I learn your wishes. This can readily be inserted by your own hand in either. The covers are in brown green and blue. Which of these, if you choose the bound copies? It would add doubly to the pleasure if I might put the little gift into your hand myself. But as that may not be, unless some happy chance were to [page break] bring you near, I must trust it to the mail instead. I wish it may find as much favor in the eyes of the receiver, as her presence and conversation always brings the giver. Yours affectionately, A. Bronson Alcott
